Most people wouldn’t guess that “Family Feud” is one of the funniest shows on television, but the 40-year-old series has produced some hilarious moments — like the time a contestant blurted out an answer that brought Steve Harvey to his knees (video below).

Harvey said to the contestant, “Name a part of your body that’s bigger than it was when you were 16.” A loaded question like that is bound to bring in a colorful answer — and it did. The contestant, Secily, instantly responded with, “Your penis.”

After she said that, Harvey went silent for a few seconds, and then Secily put her hands on her face in embarrassment. Both laughed, and Harvey took a knee.

“I used the medical terminology,” Secily pointed out.

Harvey quipped back: “A medical term is almost worse! A slang term would have least been … your ‘ding-a-ling,’ something!”

Former President Donald Trump is not backing down — not from public outcry, not from protests erupting across the country, and certainly not from his hardline immigration plans.

If anything, he’s doubling down.

This week, Trump escalated his rhetoric dramatically, vowing to carry out what he calls “the single largest mass deportation program in history.” And in doing so, he’s issued direct warnings to three of America’s largest and most diverse cities: Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago.

As tensions reach a boiling point, critics and supporters alike are bracing for what comes next.

Protests Erupt, But Trump Pushes Forward

In recent weeks, major cities from coast to coast have become flashpoints of protest. Demonstrators have flooded streets, chanting in support of immigrant communities and denouncing what they describe as inhumane ICE raids.

But for Donald Trump, the backlash only seems to strengthen his resolve.

“Every day, the Brave Men and Women of ICE are subjected to violence, harassment, and even threats from Radical Democrat Politicians,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “But nothing will stop us from executing our mission.”

According to Trump, the mission is clear: round up and deport undocumented immigrants on a scale never before attempted in modern American history.

Daily Arrests to Spike by Over 350%

Behind the scenes of this aggressive campaign is Stephen Miller, Trump’s longtime immigration advisor and now Deputy Chief of Staff. Miller confirmed that the administration plans to dramatically increase daily ICE arrests, from an average of 650 per day to at least 3,000.

That represents more than a 350% increase — and would require ICE to operate at a level not seen since the post-9/11 era.

“We’re not just talking about expanding operations,” Miller reportedly told insiders. “We’re talking about a structural transformation of immigration enforcement.”

Trump’s Direct Order: “ICE Must Get the Job Done”

Trump made headlines earlier this week with an unusually blunt directive delivered via Truth Social.

“ICE Officers are herewith ordered, by notice of this TRUTH, to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.”

He went on to emphasize that his administration would dedicate “every resource possible” to ensure the operation succeeds.

That includes the involvement of not only ICE, but also the FBI, DEA, ATF, and Border Patrol, all of which he claims have his full backing to carry out mass arrests and removals.

The Cities on Alert: L.A., New York, and Chicago

While Trump’s deportation policy is nationwide, he made clear that certain cities will be focal points.

“We must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities,” he wrote, “such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside.”

Those three cities are among the most diverse in the country — and all have strong sanctuary city protections. In response, mayors and city councils have already begun to coordinate legal defenses and community alerts.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass called the move “a terrifying abuse of federal power.” In New York, city officials have described Trump’s order as a “declaration of war against immigrant communities.”

But for Trump and his base, the crackdown is long overdue.

A War of Words — And Warnings

Trump isn’t just targeting undocumented immigrants. He’s aiming his fire at Democratic lawmakers who oppose his plan, accusing them of undermining the nation for political gain.

“These Radical Left Democrats are sick of mind, hate our Country, and actually want to destroy our Inner Cities — And they are doing a good job of it!” he wrote.

He linked immigration to a broader cultural divide, adding:

“That is why they believe in Open Borders, Transgender for Everybody, and Men playing in Women’s Sports… You don’t hear about Sanctuary Cities in our Heartland!”

His message was clear: this deportation campaign isn’t just about immigration. It’s about reclaiming the cultural and political identity of America, as Trump and his supporters see it.

Is the Military Involved?

Perhaps the most alarming aspect of Trump’s plan isn’t ICE’s expanded role — but the possibility of military involvement.

During an interview with TIME last year, Trump suggested he would consider using the U.S. military to support immigration enforcement — a move that would challenge the Posse Comitatus Act, which restricts military engagement on U.S. soil.

While no formal announcement has been made, the idea hasn’t been ruled out.

“Let’s start with 1 million,” said Senator J.D. Vance in a campaign interview last August, referring to the number of immigrants he believed could be removed in Trump’s first year of expanded deportation.

Critics have already begun preparing for potential legal battles should Trump push this boundary — but for now, the logistics remain unclear.

So How Many Have Been Deported?

According to the Trump administration, approximately 140,000 undocumented individuals had been deported by April 2025. However, independent immigration watchdogs estimate that the true number may be significantly lower, possibly closer to 75,000.

The discrepancy stems from how removals are reported. Some figures include voluntary returns, criminal transfers, or multiple entries by the same person. Regardless, Trump has made it clear that he believes the numbers aren’t high enough.

And now, he says, that’s going to change.

Communities React With Fear and Resistance

For undocumented families across the country, Trump’s aggressive push has created an atmosphere of constant fear.

Shelters, legal aid groups, and churches have seen a spike in calls for help. Some families have pulled their children from school. Others have stopped going to work, afraid that ICE could be waiting outside.

In Chicago, faith leaders are organizing “sanctuary response teams” to assist families who may be targeted. In New York, immigrant advocacy groups are distributing know-your-rights materials in multiple languages.

The emotional toll is real — and growing.

“We’ve never seen fear at this level before,” said Maria Gomez, a legal coordinator for a nonprofit in Los Angeles. “People are asking if they should flee the country now, before it’s too late.”

Trump’s Base Cheers — Critics Sound the Alarm

Among Trump’s supporters, the mass deportation plan is being hailed as a long-awaited return to law and order.

Conservative commentators have praised the move as bold, necessary, and patriotic.

But civil rights organizations warn that what Trump is proposing goes far beyond what past administrations have attempted — and could lead to widespread constitutional violations.

“This isn’t just bad policy,” said ACLU attorney James Hathaway. “It’s a human rights crisis in the making.”

What Comes Next?

As protests grow and raids expand, both sides of the immigration debate are digging in.

Trump appears undeterred by public backlash, emboldened by his base and flanked by allies like Stephen Miller who are already laying the groundwork for expanded federal operations.

Meanwhile, Democratic leaders are preparing legal challenges, immigrant rights groups are rallying resources, and America’s largest cities are scrambling to defend vulnerable communities.

The battle lines are drawn — not just in policy, but in ideology.

And with Trump already warning that this is “just the beginning,” the coming months could reshape the nation’s immigration landscape in ways that haven’t been seen in generations.

While the media has been preoccupied with a flurry of new headlines, a previously overlooked report has emerged that poses significant new inquiries regarding former President Joe Biden, former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, and their management of one of the most peculiar scandals during his presidency.

A recent report outlines the discovery of a bag of cocaine at the White House in July 2023.

According to investigative journalist Susan Crabtree from RealClearPolitics, who has been examining this matter from the outset, new records indicate that the Secret Service acted swiftly to eliminate the evidence, merely one day after the case was unexpectedly closed.

Moreover, it appears that the agency may have retaliated against a senior official who opposed the destruction, a decision that Cheatle herself ultimately overruled.

Crabtree has revealed documents that “are raising new questions about the thoroughness of the investigation.”

“A U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency document titled ‘Destruction’ indicates that the bag of cocaine was sent to the Metropolitan Police Department for incineration,” Crabtree reported.

“That document, acquired through a Freedom of Information Act request, does not provide a date for the destruction,” she further noted.

“However, other internal Secret Service records demonstrate that the cocaine was tested by the Secret Service, the D.C. Fire Department hazmat technicians, and the FBI before being returned to the Secret Service for storage on July 12.”

“Two days later, it was handed over to the D.C. police department for destruction. The Secret Service concluded the cocaine investigation 11 days after its discovery.”

When asked about the bag’s fate, the Washington, D.C. police attributed the blame to the FBI.

Yet, despite the documents indicating that the Metro Police were to destroy the cocaine within 24 hours, there is no documentation confirming that this actually occurred.

In spite of the alleged destruction of the cocaine, no record exists, and there seems to be a lack of interest in pursuing further investigation.

There was no substantial effort made to preserve the evidence.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino now claims that this situation is poised for change.

“Well, I find it amusing on social media,” Bongino remarked.

“Individuals state, ‘This case is not significant. I am indifferent.’ However, I care. … Are you unconcerned that a [potentially] dangerous substance entered the White House? We were unaware of its nature, and we appear to lack answers? Rest assured, we will obtain them. I have an excellent team working on it.”

When the Secret Service concluded its investigation on July 13 regarding who introduced cocaine into the White House, the agency attempted to clarify its decision through a public statement.

Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi asserted that there were no “investigative leads or any other means for investigators to identify who may have deposited” the cocaine.

He further stated that FBI lab results “did not yield latent fingerprints and there was insufficient evidence for investigative comparisons.”

However, the issue lies in the fact that neither the Secret Service nor the FBI has made those lab results available to the public.

According to forensic experts, the only conclusive method to determine if usable DNA was present on that baggie is to conduct another test.

“The only way to truly ascertain is to retest and observe the outcome,” stated Gary Clayton Harmor, chief forensic DNA analyst at the Serological Research Institute in Richmond, California.

“Some laboratories will test anything, while others are more hesitant if they believe the sample is inadequate for [comparison with national DNA databases],” the analyst noted.

“The FBI, knowing their practices, is likely very cautious, and it may be that they concluded, ‘Nope, there’s not enough here to derive anything significant.’ Ultimately, it depends on who conducts the testing and the methodology employed,” he added.

President Donald Trump remarked on Sunday that the United States’ involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict might be a possibility during an interview with ABC News.

“We are not currently involved. However, it is possible that we could become involved. At this moment, we are not engaged,” the president informed Rachel Scott.

Trump also mentioned to the outlet that he had an extensive phone discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday regarding the conflict in the Middle East. During this conversation, he indicated his interest in having Putin act as a mediator between Israel and Iran.

“I would be receptive to that. [Putin] is prepared. He reached out to me about it. We had a lengthy discussion on the matter. We talked about this more than his situation. I believe this issue will be resolved,” Trump conveyed to the outlet.

This comes after Israel’s request for the Trump administration to provide direct assistance in their efforts against Iran to dismantle its nuclear program, as reported by Axios.

Currently, Israel lacks the bunker-buster bombs and heavy bomber aircraft necessary to obliterate Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility, which is situated deep within a mountain, according to the outlet. The United States, on the other hand, possesses these capabilities and has them strategically positioned within flying range of Iran, the outlet reported.

Trump also shared his thoughts on the ongoing conflict via his Truth Social platform.

“Iran and Israel should reach an agreement, and they will reach an agreement, just as I facilitated between India and Pakistan, in that instance by utilizing TRADE with the United States to introduce reason, cohesion, and sanity into discussions with two exceptional leaders who were able to swiftly make a decision and STOP!” he stated.

“Additionally, during my first term, Serbia and Kosovo were engaged in intense conflict, as they have been for many decades, and this long-standing dispute was on the verge of escalating into WAR. I intervened (Biden has jeopardized the long-term prospects with some very unwise decisions, but I will rectify it, once more!). Another example is Egypt and Ethiopia, and their contention over a massive dam that is impacting the ma

Meanwhile, retired Army General Jack Keane made an appearance on Fox News on Friday to discuss the rising tensions between Israel and Iran following Iran’s missile strikes in retaliation.

During his segment on The Story with Martha MacCallum, Keane elaborated on the missile attacks from Iran that were a response to Israeli airstrikes. He pointed out that the first wave consisted of around 100 ballistic missiles, yet only five to seven were able to breach Israel’s defense systems.

“Israel anticipated that the targets would transition from those in October, which included Air Force bases in the desert and the Mossad headquarters, to civilian population centers. We are witnessing evidence of that shift now. The second wave involved 50 missiles, and as of now, there has been no penetration. I suspect another wave will follow shortly,” Keane remarked.

“The fact that the second wave of Iranian retaliation was less impactful than the first is a positive indication. It suggests they are struggling to position their launchers effectively. Additionally, Israel is actively conducting operations within Iran at this moment. Thus, what we are observing is Iran’s retaliatory attack, and it is likely that more will follow,” he continued.

Since then, Iran has executed several additional waves of missile strikes against Israel, resulting in some damage and casualties, while Israel has persisted in targeting Iran’s nuclear and military assets.

A recently resurfaced video featuring Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar, a member of the progressive “Squad,” has sparked significant controversy on social media this week, as conservatives criticized her for previous comments regarding the “radicalization of White men.”

“I would argue that our nation should be more apprehensive about White men throughout our country, as they are indeed responsible for the majority of deaths in this nation,” Omar stated in an interview with Middle East outlet Al-Jazeera in 2018, while discussing domestic terrorism threats in the United States and addressing a question about the level of concern posed by “jihadism” to the United States.

“Therefore, if fear were the primary motivator for policies aimed at ensuring the safety of Americans within this country, we ought to be profiling, monitoring, and developing policies to combat the radicalization of White men,” she further elaborated.

Her racially charged and entirely erroneous statements, which were shared by conservative influencers such as Laura Loomer and LibsofTikTok, accumulating millions of views, incited outrage among conservatives on social media, including reactions from within the White House.

“This is not merely disturbing; it constitutes genocidal rhetoric,” Vice President JD Vance remarked on X. “What a disgrace this individual is.”

“This is overt racism,” GOP Senator Mike Lee commented on X. “Who will denounce it?”

“@ilhanMN continues to be a source of embarrassment for Minnesota,” GOP Majority Whip Representative Tom Emmer, who represents Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District, stated on X.

“There has never been a more anti-American member of Congress than Ilhan Omar,” conservative influencer Paul Szypula expressed on X.

In response to a media inquiry, Omar’s office directed Fox News Digital to her post on X where she addressed Vance’s comments.

“In this nearly eight-year-old clip, I am referencing the increase of white nationalism as reported in an annual report by the Anti-Defamation League, which indicated that white supremacists were accountable for 78 percent of ‘extremist-related murders,'” Omar explained. “Additionally, you might want to research the actual meaning of ‘genocidal.’

Furthermore, Omar has a documented history of anti-Semitism that has been denounced by Jewish members within her own political party.

In February, first-term GOP Representative Brandon Gill from Texas urged the Trump administration to return Omar to her native Somalia.

“America would be a better place if @IlhanMN were deported back to Somalia,” Gill stated on Tuesday via the X platform.

Accompanying Gill’s tweet was a video clip of Omar, in which she seems to be advising fellow Somalis residing in the U.S. — potentially without legal status — on how to evade federal immigration authorities.

The video was shared by conservative figure Greg Price, who commented: “Ilhan Omar is now conducting workshops for Somalis living in the country illegally to guide them on how to avoid deportation.”

Numerous users on X expressed support for Gill’s stance.

“100%! She’s as anti-American as they come. She swore allegiance to the United States and has consistently acted against it. She’s a fraud, liar, and traitor to this nation!” one user remarked.

“Isn’t this illegal? She should be expelled!” another user added.

A different user suggested: “She is committing federal offenses by instructing undocumented immigrants on how to evade ICE. She warrants investigation and prosecution.”

Later, Gill asserted that “we should have never allowed Ilhan Omar into our country.”

A spokesperson for Gill informed The Hill, “Representative Omar’s actions raise concerns regarding her loyalty — whether it lies with the American populace or with illegal aliens from Somalia. Representative Gill merely pointed out that it is shameful for a sitting Congresswoman and U.S. citizen to aid in the invasion of our nation by undocumented Somalis.”

For years, Omar has also faced allegations of fraud related to her entry into the United States through various channels, although no evidence of misconduct has been presented.

Placing coins on military gravestones is a subtle yet profoundly significant tradition that conveys deep messages about honor, remembrance, and connection. While it may seem like mere spare change, each coin left behind holds a distinct meaning. This practice, rooted in both ancient traditions and contemporary military culture, has evolved into a sacred ritual in cemeteries throughout the United States, especially in locations such as Arlington National Cemetery.

The tradition is thought to have ancient roots, but its modern American iteration gained prominence during the Vietnam War. In that tumultuous period, many veterans found it difficult to openly express their sorrow. Leaving coins on the graves of fallen comrades became a discreet and personal method to convey, “I remember you. I was here.” It provided a means of mourning free from political implications and evolved into a quiet gesture of respect among soldiers.

Each coin carries its own significance. A penny signifies that someone has visited to pay their respects. A nickel indicates that the visitor trained alongside the deceased. A dime denotes that they served together during active duty. Lastly, a quarter, the most potent symbol, signifies that the visitor was present at the time of the fallen soldier’s death. These small tokens transform into messages of shared history, experience, and sacrifice.

For grieving families, finding these coins signifies that their loved ones are still remembered by others who stood beside them. It reassures them that the sacrifice made in service has not been forgotten, even after many years. It is a profoundly moving expression of silent solidarity.

This modest tradition continues to thrive, reminding us that honor persists—not solely through formal ceremonies, but through simple, heartfelt gestures left by those who remember.

If you’ve ever cooked a chicken and noticed that it’s purging a white jelly-like substance, don’t worry! The gross goo may look unappetizing, but it’s actually a natural phenomenon caused by protein escaping the bird as it cooks.

You pull your perfectly seasoned chicken breast out of the oven, and there it is – a strange, oozing white goo. You wanted a juicy, golden-brown masterpiece, but now your chicken looks like it’s melting.

But don’t worry, this poultry predicament happens to chicken lovers everywhere, from casual home cooks to professional chefs, according to personal chef, Drew Curlett.

“It might not be pretty, but it’s pretty normal to see white stuff come out of chicken, especially when baked or roasted,” the culinary instructor tells Reader’s Digest.

What is the goop?
Despite its strange appearance, the white stuff oozing from chicken isn’t anything to panic about. It’s a combination of protein and water that coagulates when the chicken is cooked at high temperatures.

Chicken meat, especially the breast, is rich in protein, and when you cook it, the heat causes the protein to transform or “denature” – the same way an egg white turns solid white when cooked. This process forces water out of the meat, and as the proteins clump together, they create that white, slightly sticky, semi-solid goo you see on the surface.

Like an egg, a chicken changes its structure when cooked – the process can’t be reversed. Credit: Shutterstock

This phenomenon is most common when you:

Cook boneless, skinless chicken breasts (since they contain less fat and more protein). “It’s really common when cooking at high heat without much in the way of liquid or fat, like if you’re baking plain, boneless, skinless chicken breasts,” Curlett said.
Use high heat methods like roasting, baking, or pan-searing. Cooking chicken at too high of a temperature too quickly can cause proteins to rapidly contract, forcing out more liquid and forming that gooey layer.
The best way to minimize this effect is by using medium heat and allowing the chicken to rest after cooking. Resting helps redistribute the juices back into the meat rather than letting them leak out immediately.
Cook frozen chicken that hasn’t been fully thawed (the excess moisture contributes to the effect). This happens because freezing causes ice crystals to form within the muscle fibers, damaging their structure. When thawed, the broken-down fibers release more moisture and proteins during cooking, increasing the likelihood of seeing the white substance.
Is white goo safe to eat?
While it might look unappetizing, this white substance is perfectly safe to eat. It’s just cooked protein and water – completely edible and doesn’t affect the taste of your chicken.

However, if your chicken has an odd smell, slimy texture, or discoloration before cooking, that’s a sign of spoilage. The white substance itself is harmless, but if your chicken has other signs of going bad, it’s best to discard it.

If you’d rather not have your chicken oozing out the goo, there are ways to reduce its appearance.

Cook at a lower temperatures: High heat speeds up the coagulation process, making the white goo more noticeable. Try baking at 350°F (175°C) instead of 400°F (205°C) for a more gradual cook.
Brine your chicken: Soak your chicken in a simple saltwater solution for 30 minutes to an hour helps retain moisture and reduces the amount of protein loss during cooking.
Sear before baking: Searing the chicken in a hot pan before transferring it to the oven locks in juices and can minimize the white protein leakage.
Let the chicken rest: Cooking cold chicken straight from the fridge (or worse, partially frozen chicken) increases the amount of white stuff that appears. Let it sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before cooking.
Use premium chicken: Factory-farmed chicken tends to contain more water due to processing, making the white goo more pronounced. If possible, opt for organic or air-chilled chicken, which contains less excess moisture.
Just remember you can minimize it, but unless you’re cooking low and slow, some protein leakage is natural.

The white stuff coming out of your chicken is just protein and water reacting to heat and it’s totally natural and safe to eat. While it may not be the prettiest sight, it doesn’t affect the taste or safety of your meal.

It all started on a Thursday afternoon in Crestwood, Missouri. Darius had just finished a long morning of work and decided to take a break by checking his internet speed. Lately, his Wi-Fi had been acting up—slower than usual, buffering during video calls, and lagging when streaming music.

At first, he thought it was just his provider being unreliable, but something didn’t feel right. So, he dug a little deeper. Opening his  router settings on his phone, he noticed a device connected to his network that he didn’t recognize.

The name wasn’t just random numbers and letters. It looked like someone had intentionally labeled it: Crestwood I-01.

That was strange. Darius lived alone. He didn’t have multiple devices connected to his Wi-Fi other than his phone, laptop, and TV.

He wasn’t the type to share his password either. So, who was using his internet? Annoyed, he decided to kick every unknown device off the network and reset his password. He stepped outside for a better signal, leaning against the side of his house while typing in the new credentials.

And that’s when Melanie Foster saw him. From her kitchen window, she spotted Darius standing in his driveway, staring at his phone, his fingers moving quickly across the screen. To her, it looked suspicious.

She had never trusted him—no particular reason, just that he never seemed interested in being part of the neighborhood. He didn’t come to block parties. He barely spoke to anyone.

And now, here he was, standing outside, messing with something on his phone. Her mind jumped to the worst conclusion: he was hacking.

She didn’t know what or why, but she felt it in her gut. Something wasn’t right. Before she could talk herself out of it, she grabbed her phone and dialed 911.

Yes, I need to report something suspicious. My neighbor, he’s outside doing something with his phone. I don’t know what it is, but it looks… off.»

«Can you send someone to check it out?» she added.

The dispatcher asked a few questions, but Melanie didn’t have real answers. She just kept repeating the same thing: he’s up to something.

«I just know it.»

The police were on their way. And Darius? He had no idea his quiet afternoon was about to turn into a full-blown investigation.

But what neither of them knew was that the real danger had nothing to do with Darius at all. Darius had just finished updating his Wi-Fi password when he heard the sirens. At first, he barely paid attention.

Maybe they were headed somewhere else. But then he saw the squad car slow down and stop right in front of his house. Two officers stepped out.

One was a tall, broad-shouldered man with sharp features, Detective Louis Navarro. His partner, Officer Brielle Carter, had a more compact frame but carried herself with quiet authority. Darius let out a slow breath.

«Here we go.»

He didn’t move as the officers approached. Navarro’s hand rested near his belt—not on his gun, but close enough to send a message.

«Sir,» Navarro called out, his voice steady. «We got a call about some suspicious activity. Mind telling us what you’re doing?»

Darius frowned, glancing between the officers.

«Suspicious activity? I’m standing in my own driveway. I’m… changing my Wi-Fi password.»

His tone carried a hint of confusion, but he kept his voice calm. He knew how these things could escalate. Navarro exchanged a quick glance with Carter before looking back at Darius.

«Do you live here?»

Darius almost laughed. What kind of question was that? His car was in the driveway. His name was on the mailbox.

«Yeah,» he said, crossing his arms. «I’ve lived here for three years.»

Before Navarro could respond, a voice cut through the air.

«He’s lying.»

Darius turned, and there she was: Melanie Foster, standing on her porch, arms folded, watching everything like she was the neighborhood security guard.

«He’s always outside doing… something,» she continued. «Messing with his phone, looking around like he’s watching people. Now he’s out here, standing in the same spot for ten minutes, just tapping away.»

Darius couldn’t believe it. Was she serious?

«I was on my router settings,» he said flatly. «Because someone I don’t know has been using my Wi-Fi.»

Melanie scoffed. «Oh, sure. And I’m supposed to believe that?»

Navarro turned to her.

«Ma’am, do you have any evidence that Mr. Coleman has done something illegal?»

Melanie hesitated. Because, of course, she didn’t.

She just had a… bad feeling.

«I… I don’t know,» she admitted. «I just think you should check.»

Navarro exhaled, his patience thinning. He turned back to Darius.

«Sir, would you mind if we take a quick look at your router settings, just to clear this up?»

Darius clenched his jaw. He shouldn’t have to prove anything, but he also knew how these situations could spiral out of control.

«Fine,» he muttered, unlocking his phone and pulling up the settings. «Here, take a look.»

Navarro leaned in, eyes scanning the list of connected devices. And that’s when his expression changed. Because there it was.

«Crestwood I-01.»

«Who owns that device?» Navarro asked.

Darius shook his head. «Not me.»

Officer Carter stepped in, eyebrows raised.

«So someone’s been using your Wi-Fi without permission.»

Darius nodded. «And I don’t think they were just stealing internet. Look at the connection logs.»

«It’s been running non-stop. Someone’s been watching.»

Navarro’s posture shifted.

This wasn’t just a petty neighbor dispute anymore. Melanie, still standing on her porch, suddenly looked uncomfortable.

«Wait.»

«What do you mean, watching?» Darius turned to her, eyes cold.

«I mean someone has been spying. And they might be watching all of us.»

But the real question was, who?

Silence settled over the front yard. The weight of Darius’s words hung in the air. Melanie, who had been so sure she was the one in the right, suddenly looked uneasy.

«Spying?» That wasn’t what she expected to hear.

Navarro straightened up.

«All right,» he said, his voice more serious now. «Let’s get inside. I want to see exactly what we’re dealing with.»

Darius didn’t argue. He led the officers into his house, his frustrations simmering just below the surface. He hadn’t done anything wrong.

Yet here he was, being treated like a suspect in his own home.

Melanie hesitated before following. She wasn’t sure why, but something told her she needed to hear this.

Once inside, Darius placed his phone on the dining table and mirrored the  routersettings onto his laptop screen. The device list appeared. There it was again.

«Crestwood I-01.» Still connected. Still active.

Officer Carter leaned in, scanning the details.

«Can you see what kind of device this is?»

Darius clicked around, his fingers moving fast.

If you’re tired of dealing with flies buzzing around your fruit or spotting cockroaches under the sink, you’re not alone. Fortunately, there’s a natural and affordable solution using ingredients you likely already have at home. A combination of mint toothpaste, baking soda, and white vinegar can effectively repel common household pests—without harmful chemicals or sprays.

The power of this DIY repellent lies in its scent and reaction. Peppermint toothpaste and essential oil create a strong aroma that insects dislike, while the reaction between baking soda and vinegar adds an extra layer of deterrence. Together, they create an environment that pests—especially mosquitoes, flies, and cockroaches—prefer to avoid.

Making the repellent is easy: mix one tablespoon each of mint toothpaste, baking soda, and white vinegar in a bowl. Add 120 ml of warm water and a few drops of peppermint essential oil (optional). Pour the mixture into small containers like jar lids and place them near sinks, trash cans, windows, or dark corners.

Within an hour, you’ll likely notice a decrease in insect activity. For best results, refresh the mixture every 2–3 days. You can also apply a thin layer behind appliances or baseboards. This method is safe for families and provides a natural way to enjoy a cleaner, pest-free home.
